When we think of coffee, we always imagine it hot, aromatic, and delicious. One of the reasons why people are drawn into coffee is because of caffeine. So any method of decaffeinating seems bizarre for many coffee aficionados. Some people would protest with the process and say that it goes against the natural order of things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One fact, the term \u201cdecaffeinated\u201d does not mean that the coffee is 100% free of caffeine. For the coffee to be considered decaffeinated, it needs to be 97% free of caffeine. So for an average 12 oz cup of decaffeinated coffee, it contains 5.4 mg of caffeine, which was initially 180 mg of caffeine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
